MAIN SPONSOR OF THE GERMAN WRESTLING FEDERATION
Birtat has been promoting sport for several years. We are committed to sponsoring wrestling, a sport that enjoys relatively little media coverage. Aware of what athletes achieve, and with a desire to inspire more people to take up the sport, we believe our commitment is well placed. Birtat has supported the German Wrestling Federation (DRB) as main sponsor since 2021. Since its foundation in 1972, the DRB has been serving as the umbrella organisation of German wrestling clubs. Currently, the national squad of the DRB comprises seven wrestlers in the Olympic squad and 50 wrestlers in the perspective squad. In September 2021, the top German wrestling division entered the new season under the name “Birtat Ringer-Bundesliga“. For the first time, the jerseys and sportswear were labelled with the Birtat company logo.
At the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the DRB won three medals with Aline Rotter-Focken (gold, 76 kg), Denis Kudla (bronze, 86 kg) and Frank Stäbler (bronze, 67 kg) and was thus one of the most successful sports federations at these Olympic Games.

EUROPEAN BOXING CHAMPION: AGIT KABAYEL
Agit Kabayel was born in Leverkusen, Germany, on 23 September 1992. He currently lives in Bochum, Germany. He started boxing in 2009 and won his first professional boxing match back in 2011. One of the titles he has won in recent years is the European heavyweight title. In 2019, he then decided to relinquish the European title in order to sign a contract with the world’s largest sports broadcaster ESPN and promoter TOP Rank. Currently, he fights for SES Boxing from Magdeburg and trains in Düsseldorf and Aachen to prepare for the world championship title against Tyson Fury of the WBC. He is the first German boxer since Max Schmeling to have a chance of winning this heavyweight title.
In 2023, Agit Kabayel won against Agron Smakici from Croatia by technical knockout, becoming the European heavyweight champion for the second time in front of almost 3,000 spectators.

PROFESSIONAL HEAVYWEIGHT BOXER UMUT CAMKIRAN
Umut Camkiran looks back on a long career. On his professional debut, he fought and won against Edgar Kalnars by technical knockout in the first round. He also won the UBF European heavyweight belt against Alexander Kahl by knockout in the first round. Camkiran competed for the WBC middleweight belt against Goran Delic in Istanbul, winning this title too with a technical knockout in the first round.
